About the role

  • Support an approximate 9-month NPD project with the work vehicle solutions team
  • Lead large-scale/complex NPD project teams by planning, coordinating, and communicating between various departmental disciplines
  • Assist lead engineers and product managers on residential and commercial consumer product development and planning
  • Develop and implement project plans and schedules; identify tasks, owners, and deadlines; clarify project scope and responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional teams, assign work, and coordinate key deliverables across organizational functions
  • Define project baselines, track progress, control scope, determine corrective actions, and report project status to senior leadership
  • Utilize stage-gating product development process to manage requirements, timelines, and meet technical and financial project objectives
  • Contribute to product development planning, product portfolio strategy, and product roadmaps
  • Contribute to strategic product brainstorming using end user insights, competitive analysis, and manufacturing/customer care data
  • Provide support to product engineers and product managers to execute products through to manufacturing and commercial launch
  • May have direct supervisory roles or indirect reporting over other members; take direction from Sr. Project Managers or Directors
  • Presently hybrid with a minimum of 3 days/week in the office for collaboration and teamwork

Requirements

  • BSE or equivalent required
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in leading and managing consumer product projects or 10+ years of relevant project management experience
  • Experience working on projects in cross-functional team settings of engineering development & design, product validation, marketing, procurement, production scheduling, and materials management
  • Experience with mechanical manufacturing and design methods related to metal and plastic components, finishes, packaging, and manufacturing processes such as stampings, molding, extrusions, and other fabrication methods
  • Strong capability in Windows-based applications specifically PowerPoint, Excel and MS Project
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, organization, collaboration, execution skills, and independent judgment in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to seek solutions across functional departments and remote sites and proactively raise issues and opportunities to mitigate risk
  • Willingness to travel to domestic and international engineering centers, manufacturing sites, and suppliers
