About the role
- Report to Corporate Controller and oversee corporate accounting function.
- Manage global accounting operations including consolidation, eliminations, and intercompany accounting.
- Handle corporate accruals, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Lead financial systems initiatives, process improvements, and automation efforts.
- Support acquisition and divestiture accounting and manage integration efforts.
- Maintain and document internal controls across general accounting processes.
- Collaborate with finance teams across North America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific.
- Support internal and external audits and serve as primary contact for external auditors.
- Develop and deliver monthly reports and dashboards; coordinate with IT.
- Provide coaching, performance management, and training for accounting staff.
- Manage quarterly revenue deferral processes for North America in coordination with business units and customer service.
- Present in finance meetings and lead/participate in special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience required.
- CPA certification or Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
- 3+ years of experience in technical accounting, acquisition integration, or system implementation preferred.
- Experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
- Initiative-driven with a focus on continuous improvement and change management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present in small and large groups.
- High attention to detail and results-oriented mindset.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices (U.S. GAAP).
- Familiarity with JD Edwards Financials, Planning Analytics, and Power BI.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
