About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop new business in the public sector;
  • Prospect state governments, municipalities and courts;
  • Execute consultative sales of HCM solutions for government;
  • Deliver commercial and technical presentations;
  • Lead strategic negotiations with C-level decision-makers;
  • Participate in and monitor public procurement (bidding) processes;
  • Manage pipeline and opportunities using CRM;
  • Develop commercial strategies to expand operations;
  • Work jointly with pre-sales and architecture teams;
  • Map opportunities and movements in the public market;
  • Conduct workshops, training sessions and executive meetings;
  • Ensure opportunity progression through to commercial closure.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree (completed)
  • Experience with consultative B2G sales;
  • Experience selling to municipal and state government entities;
  • Experience selling HCM/HR software;
  • Experience with public tenders/bidding processes;
  • Experience in new business development;
  • Experience building relationships with C-level executives;
  • Experience managing a commercial sales pipeline;
  • Experience using commercial CRM systems;
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or related fields;
  • Experience with SPIN Selling;
  • Knowledge of the public sector and government procurement processes;
  • Availability for travel.
  • It will be a plus if you have
  • Experience with complex consultative negotiations;
  • Knowledge of software sales via public tender processes;
  • Experience with CRM tools, preferably NetSuite (Oracle);
  • Experience working closely with technical and pre-sales teams;
  • Postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Human Resources, Sales or Government Business Development;
  • Certifications in Government Sales Management or HCM systems for the public sector;
  • Previous experience in SaaS technology companies;
  • Established network/relationships in the public sector;
  • Intermediate or advanced English.
