About the role
- Provide high-quality nursing care directly in patients’ homes for clinical research studies
- Use own vehicle to travel to patient homes, typically within 1–2 hours of your location
- PRN / per diem shifts — work when projects are available in your area
- Orientation, training, and project-specific instructions provided before each assignment
- Compensated for time spent on training, travel, patient visits, and documentation
- Administer investigational medications/products and perform patient assessments
- Perform medical tests per protocol (vital signs, specimen collection, electrocardiograms) and process/ship specimens
- Provide patient education on medication dosage, administration, and disease treatment
- Ensure compliance with study protocols and adherence to clinical research policies
- Communicate effectively and maintain open, trusting relationships with patients and study teams
Requirements
- Relevant Nurse Licensure
- CH-GCP Certificate
- Graduate from an accredited BSN or Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program
- Minimum 2 years’ post qualification acute care experience
- Clinical Research experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Experience and knowledge of working in clinical research trials with ICH-GCP (Good Clinical Practice) Certification (training can be provided)
- Good basic IT skills, utilizing mobile devices and Microsoft systems
- Trained in Handling and Transport of Hazardous Substances (training can be provided)
- A flexible schedule is essential
- Unencumbered driver’s license, reliable car
