About the role

  • You are responsible for independently (re)developing firmware for state-of-the-art sensors (2D and 3D) based on image sensors
  • Development of low-level firmware components and hardware-optimized implementations is within your responsibility
  • You are responsible for the efficient implementation of complex functions and modules
  • You act as a point of contact for complex questions in advanced test environments
  • Developing concepts for new technologies is also part of your tasks
  • You are responsible for integrating and developing drivers and interfaces on embedded Linux-based systems
  • Presenting and further developing the current architecture is part of your remit, as well as contributing to the architecture of the overall firmware
  • You are responsible for debugging, testing and profiling embedded systems using appropriate tools (JTAG, GDB, logic analyzer)

Requirements

  • You have a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a comparable qualification
  • You have several years of professional experience as an embedded Linux firmware/software developer
  • C/C++, cmake, Git, Jenkins and deployment strategies are part of your standard toolkit
  • You are proficient with the Linux shell
  • Ideally, you already have experience with RTE, PLC controls, Yocto and software architecture
  • You communicate fluently in German and English
