About the role
- Collaborate as a freelance language expert across multiple accounts and programs
- Translate and localize content for marketing and life sciences, including investigator-facing, patient-facing, pharmacy, help and UI materials
- Copy edit translated content and ensure cultural and linguistic accuracy for Swahili target language
- Use CAT tools (XTM, Phrase, Trados, Smartling) and Jira for project workflows
- Support NLP-enabled machine learning projects by collecting, annotating, and evaluating training data
- Work with global teams across North America, Europe, and Asia to deliver multilingual content transformation services
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in translating, copy editing content in the specified subject matter areas or verticals: Investigator facing, Patient facing and/or Pharmacy material, Marketing, Help and UI content
- Professional level understanding of English (US/GB)
- Native level expertise of Swahili as Target Language with core understanding of cultural nuances.
- Candidate should be well versed with various CAT tools like- XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, Smartling etc.
- Working knowledge of MS office applications like MS Word, MS Excel.
- Desirable: Translation degree or, if other degree, 3 years of translation experience or, if no degree, 5 years of translation experience
