About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Translate and review Marketing/UI and Life Sciences content (English to French - France)
Perform copyediting tasks on assigned projects or accounts (English to French - France)
Provide lead support on assigned projects or accounts
Manage and maintain language assets (including glossaries, style guides, and work instructions) to meet account/project quality standards and keep them up to date
Conduct research to ensure high-quality delivery
Master or learn the tools used for translation work
Precisely follow established processes, including raising queries when necessary
Interact with clients on linguistic matters as required
Participate in the development of new and improved workflows
Develop and train internal linguists and freelancers (new and existing) according to account and Welocalize needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Native fluency in French (France)
Fluent in English (written and spoken, across a wide range of registers)
3+ years of experience in translation/localization of Marketing/UI and Life Sciences content
Experience in Finance translation is a plus
University degree in Translation, Applied Languages, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Thorough understanding of the localization process
Proficient user of standard software such as Windows and Microsoft Office applications
Experience with standard CAT tools (e.g., XTM, SDL Trados Studio) and issue tracking/query management tools (e.g., JIRA)
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and linguists
