About the role
- Responsible for providing dog therapy services to hospital staff and team members
- Conduct scheduled visits to hospital and health park departments, breakrooms, and wellness spaces
- Actively greet team members and assist in answering work-life and wellness benefits questions
- Facilitate positive interactions between therapy dog and team members
- Collaborate with Employee Wellness to schedule and coordinate dog therapy sessions
Requirements
- GED
- Therapy dog certification for the dog-handler team from Alliance of Therapy Dogs
- Required current vaccinations and health certifications for therapy dog
- Minimum 1 year of experience handling or working with therapy dogs in a professional or volunteer capacity
- Minimum 1 year of experience in hospital, corporate wellness, or employee engagement programs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
