About the role
- Provide interpreting services in a healthcare setting
- Maintain schedule of current hospital caseload
- Record patient encounters both manually and electronically
- Work collaboratively with other interpreters
- Travel to other hospitals or healthcare facilities
- Advocate for clients using best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- 3-5 years interpreting experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified member of the Registry for Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc (RID)
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an ASL interpreter
- Ability to work with diverse cultural/socio-economic backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills and strong medical vocabulary
