About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate authorization requests from intake through final payer determination
  • Assign cases to clinical reviewers and monitor progress through completion
  • Submit authorization requests and supporting documentation to payers
  • Answer inbound calls and provide front-line support for the team
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all information is documented appropriately
  • Support process improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in a healthcare or healthcare operations environment preferred
  • LPN, Medical Assistant (MA), or other clinical licensure/certification preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Customer service experience
