About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Architect and implement high-performance threshold signature schemes, specifically DKLS23 or similar, for ECDSA key generation and signing
- Design and build services inside Trusted Execution Environments, targeting AMD SEV-SNP and Intel TDX via Confidential Containers
- Implement the RATS architecture (RFC 9334) to ensure key shares are released only after hardware and software integrity is proven to the Key Broker Service
- Design Cold Ceremony workflows integrating offline hardware tokens as offline Key Encryption Keys for disaster recovery and deep storage
- Write and optimize memory-safe Rust/Go code operating on key material exclusively within encrypted memory regions
- Design mechanisms that cryptographically bind business logic approvals, such as WebAuthn assertions, directly to MPC signing sessions
- Lead architectural decisions for the custody engine and define use of MPC and Confidential Computing
- Contribute to a next-generation Digital Asset Platform for institutional finance
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 3+ years of experience in backend or systems programming
- Expert-level proficiency in Go (Golang)
- 6+ months of experience with Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC)
- 1+ year of experience with BFT consensus algorithms, P2P networking, and state replication
- Reliable distributed systems experience
- Deep experience with Cosmos SDK and CometBFT (desired)
- Experience with Pedersen Commitments (desired)
- Experience with Zero-Knowledge Proofs, specifically Bulletproofs or Sigma protocols (desired)
- Ability to read academic whitepapers/preprints and translate mathematical specifications into functioning code (desired)
- Experience with MPC or Verifiable Secret Sharing schemes (desired)
- Familiarity with the Ristretto255 curve or libraries like gnark-crypto (desired)
- Background in FinTech, payment systems, or high-frequency trading platforms (desired)
- Understanding of Account Model vs. UTXO Model trade-offs in privacy-preserving ledgers (desired)
