About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the branch sales leader
- Acquire, deepen, and retain customer relationships across checking, deposits, lending, credit cards, and investments
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing branch team
- Establish expectations and manage performance through targeted coaching
- Identify customer financial needs and deliver tailored consumer and business solutions
- Use observation, feedback, reporting, and follow-up to improve banker productivity and team performance
- Partner with Wealth & Investment Management, Business Banking, and Home Lending sales partners
- Educate customers and demonstrate digital banking options
- Expand primary bank relationships and wallet share
- Balance growth objectives with operational risk management
- Resolve issues, make talent decisions, and model behaviors that protect customers, employees, and the company
- Participate in the Branch Manager Readiness Program before placement into a Branch Manager position
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays
- Ability to travel in assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months and before placement in a specific branch, depending on location
- Successful completion of the Branch Manager Readiness Program is required to transition into a Branch Manager position
- SAFE registration required at the time of employment
- Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies
- Must meet standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background
- Position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
- Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, compliance controls, operational risk management, and loss prevention
- Ability to hire, coach, and develop sales professionals and direct reports
- Ability to analyze performance and execute action plans
- Ability to manage affluent, high net worth, and business customer segments
- Ability to educate customers about digital banking solutions
