About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the branch sales leader, acquiring, deepening, and retaining customer relationships
  • Drive growth in checking, deposits, lending, credit cards, and investments
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing branch team
  • Establish expectations and manage performance through targeted coaching
  • Identify customer financial needs and deliver tailored consumer and business solutions
  • Use branch manager routines, observation, feedback, and follow-up to improve capability and productivity
  • Partner with Wealth & Investment Management, Business Banking, and Home Lending sales partners
  • Educate customers about digital banking options
  • Analyze reporting and employee observations to identify strengths and opportunities
  • Improve team performance, primary bank relationships, and wallet share
  • Balance growth objectives with operational soundness and risk management
  • Resolve issues and model behaviors that protect customers, employees, and the company
  • Complete the Branch Manager Readiness Program before transitioning to the Branch Manager position, unless already serving as a Wells Fargo Branch Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays
  • Ability to travel in assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months, depending on location
  • SAFE registration required at the time of employment
  • Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements
  • Compliance with Wells Fargo policies and standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background
  • Proven ability to hire, coach, and develop sales professionals and direct reports
  • Ability to lead a customer-focused sales culture and drive measurable growth
  • Ability to analyze performance and execute action plans
  • Independent judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Success managing and coaching across affluent, high net worth, and business customer segments
  • Ability to connect customers to digital banking technology and solutions
  • Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, compliance controls, operational risk management, and loss prevention
  • Position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
