About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Acquire, manage, and grow a portfolio of consumer and business customer relationships
- Lead discovery-driven conversations to understand customer goals and provide tailored banking and credit strategies
- Drive balanced growth across deposits, lending, and investments
- Partner with Wealth, Home Lending, and Business Banking professionals to deliver integrated solutions
- Coordinate warm introductions and convert qualified opportunities into closed outcomes
- Educate customers on self-service and mobile banking options to increase digital adoption
- Resolve account inquiries and service requests within authorized limits
- Document actions and establish follow-up plans
- Demonstrate risk excellence through accurate documentation, sound judgment, timely escalation, and adherence to policies and regulations
- Work in a collaborative branch environment and support customers through scheduled appointments, lobby engagement, and proactive outreach
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of customer service experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 1+ year assessing and meeting customer needs or helping with issue resolution
- 1+ year building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners
- Ability to source, acquire, and deepen relationships through proactive outreach and internal partnerships
- Knowledge of book of business management, planning-conversation documentation, and follow-through
- Experience assessing needs and recommending products and services for consumer and business customers
- Ability to educate customers on self-service and mobile banking options
- Clear and confident communication, empathetic listening, and ability to build credibility and trust
- 1+ year of financial services experience is desired
- FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 examinations or recognized equivalents required, active or completed within a designated timeframe
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam required for FINRA qualifications earned after September 30, 2018
- FINRA Series 65 or equivalent must be attempted within a specified period for employees hired in South Carolina or North Carolina, among listed states
- State Insurance license(s) required, active or completed within a designated timeframe
- SAFE registration required at time of employment
- Required FINRA licenses must be obtained and maintained for continued employment
- Must meet enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards
- Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements
- Credit report may be reviewed and additional ongoing screening may apply
- Must be able to work a schedule including most Saturdays
- Not eligible for visa sponsorship
