About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create API-driven integrations between network platforms and internal systems
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks that improve reliability and reduce operational toil
  • Translate manual operational procedures into codified, repeatable automation
  • Ensure automation artifacts follow best practices for performance, maintainability, and security
  • Collaborate with network engineering and platform teams to align automation with broader architectural strategies
  • Lead automation of product deployments and customer journeys
  • Create APIs for products and services
  • Use AI-assisted development and analysis tools to accelerate system design, coding, testing, analysis, and troubleshooting
  • Validate and integrate AI-assisted outputs into solutions
  • Account for model limitations, security risks, and operational considerations
  • Apply AI responsibly in development and production environments
  • Ensure AI usage aligns with security, compliance, privacy, and ethical standards
  • Follow applicable risk programs, Wells Fargo policies and procedures, and risk and compliance obligations
  • Proactively monitor, govern, identify, escalate, and remediate issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 3+ years of Python development experience
  • Proficiency in Python for automation tooling, integrations, and workflow orchestration
  • Experience with Nautobot highly desired
  • Experience with LangChain/LangGraph, Google ADK/A2A, AG-UI, and other open-source libraries for AI workflows
  • Experience with OpenAI API specification and enterprise model interfaces
  • Experience with MCP, Django, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, React, FastAPI, and OAuth
  • Experience with multi-agent orchestration
  • Ability to consume and build REST APIs, including authentication, schema validation, error handling, and versioning
  • Hands-on experience with source control such as GitHub
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise environments with change control and structured processes
  • Expertise in microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architectures
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible, including reusable playbooks, roles, and modules for network automation
  • Proficiency with legacy and cloud infrastructure, including OpenShift, Cloud Foundry, and Kubernetes
  • Working knowledge of Unix, Linux, MongoDB, and Postman
  • No visa sponsorship or visa transfers for this role
