About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create, modify, and manage 2D/3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp
- Program CNC equipment using Fusion 360 and V-Carve
- Interpret engineering and architectural drawings and specifications to create accurate mold types
- Organize and optimize master molds for efficient production and pouring processes
- Collaborate with multiple manufacturing plants to adapt models for each job
- Develop layouts and workflows that maximize efficiency and minimize waste
- Maintain documentation of design changes and production plans for CNC and production teams
- Coordinate with the CNC programming team and provide technical support
- Work with engineering, production, and quality teams to integrate design and manufacturing processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical certificate, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Proficiency in CAD and modeling software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, or similar
- Knowledge of CNC programming and machining principles in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings
- Ability to convert designs into production-ready models or CNC programs
- Ability to maintain and manage accurate technical documentation and drawings
- Understanding of general manufacturing processes and production workflows
- Hands-on experience creating and managing 2D/3D molds in a manufacturing or precast environment
- Ability to wear required PPE, including safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, and hard hat
- Ability to stand, walk, navigate active plant and field environments, climb stairs, and walk on uneven surfaces
- Ability to work safely around moving equipment, machinery, noise, dust, vibration, and outdoor weather conditions
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
