About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create, modify, and manage 2D/3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
CNC programming using Fusion 360, V-Carve (preferred).
Interpret engineering and Architectural drawings and specifications to create accurate mold types.
Organize and optimize master molds for efficient production and pouring processes.
Collaborate with multiple manufacturing plants to ensure models are correctly adapted for each job.
Develop layouts and workflows that maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
Maintain accurate documentation of design changes and production plans to ensure this is passed on to the CNC and production teams.
Coordinating with the CNC programming team, providing guidance and technical support.
Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of design and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Proficiency in CAD and modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, or similar).
Knowledge of CNC programming and machining principles in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
Ability to convert designs into production-ready models or CNC programs.
Ability to maintain and manage accurate technical documentation and drawings.
Understanding of general manufacturing processes and production workflows.
