About the role

  • Perform hands-on work for complex initiatives on selected domains
  • Design and develop Java and Python code, this is a hands-on coding role
  • Participate in all aspects of the Wells Fargo SDLC and technology processes including release management, vulnerability remediation and related tasks.
  • Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
  • Design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
  • Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
  • Collaborate with your peers to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
  • Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of experience in Core Java development in an enterprise environment
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL Server or other similar databases
  • 5+ years of experience with SDLC practices, including Agile and DevOps methodologies, and experience in test-driven development (TDD)
  • 5+ years of experience developing enterprise applications in a large financial institution
  • 3+ years of experience in Python development in an enterprise environment
