About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the identification, sourcing, and execution of municipal natural gas and power prepayment transactions.
Design, model, and execute complex structured energy financing transactions, including Muni Prepays.
Maintain and expand a senior-level network of relationships with prepaid suppliers, qualifying use participants.
Partner with trading desks to source physical volumes and implement hedging strategies.
Drive transactions from structuring through execution, ensuring compliance with internal risk governance.
Consult and collaborate with peers, senior leaders, and cross-functional partners to resolve complex issues.
Provide thought leadership on industry trends, regulatory developments, and structural innovations.

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of Securities Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
5+ years of experience in capital markets, energy origination, commodities, or municipal finance at a top-tier financial institution or merchant energy firm.
Demonstrated, hands-on track record of originating and executing municipal natural gas and/or power prepayment transactions.
Deep understanding of physical energy markets, structured energy finance, and tax-exempt municipal financing.
Proven experience working across trading, banking, legal, tax, and risk functions.
Strong financial modeling experience for non-recourse and structured energy transactions.
Established credibility with senior decision-makers across municipal and public power clients.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to attend client meetings and industry conferences.
