About the role

  • Coach, develop and build a high performing team to execute on business strategies, achieve results, and drive growth of the business
  • Coach bankers to engage customers, understand needs, build relationships and help customers succeed financially
  • Resolve low to moderately complex issues regarding customer and employee experience, risk, and growth to meet Branch Network objectives
  • Identify opportunities to make banking easier for customers and demonstrate available digital options to support adoption and convenience
  • Lead the branch while engaging stakeholders, peers, and internal partners to deliver a customer-centric experience
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
  • Execute policies and procedures in alignment with applicable regulations, audit and escalation procedures
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for the branch and drive accountability for operational excellence
  • Lead a defined customer engagement process and coach behaviors that enhance customer experience and drive business growth
  • This SAFE position may include offering/negotiating terms and/or taking an application for a dwelling secured transaction (mortgage origination)

Requirements

  • 4+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • SAFE registration at the time of employment; compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations
  • Meet Loan Originator (LO) requirements under Regulation Z
  • Meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements (financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, criminal background standards)
  • Acceptable background investigation results
  • A current credit report will be used to assess financial responsibility and credit fitness
  • Position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays
  • Ability to travel in assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking industry laws and regulations, compliance controls, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience coaching across customer segments (affluent, high net worth, small business)
  • Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers, internal partners and community
  • Extensive experience in asking questions and identifying complex financial needs
  • Ability to lead adoption of digital banking and educate customers on digital options
  • Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and employees
  • Relevant military experience accepted (military protocol, personnel benefits management, HR, recruiting)
