About the role

  • Onboard, manage, and grow account relationships with Small Business customers (revenue $1-25MM) within assigned portfolios
  • Assess customer financial needs through review and analysis of moderately complex data and recommend appropriate financial products and services
  • Develop exceptional customer relationships with understanding of cash flow and small business operating cycles
  • Ensure overall success and growth of assigned portfolio by deepening existing customer relationships and managing risk
  • Collaborate and consult with internal small business partners to independently resolve moderately complex customer or process issues
  • Engage in prospecting activities and employ contact strategies to generate new small business relationships
  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and contribute to large-scale initiatives related to customer relationships and business growth
  • Visit customers and prospects outside of the branch in an assigned market; refer dwelling-secured product interest to SAFE team member and assist customers without taking applications

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Business Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 2+ years of experience sourcing and/or managing a portfolio of clients with $1mm - 25mm in annual revenue (desired)
  • Strong knowledge of deposit and cash management products and services
  • Strong relationship-building and excellent communication skills with individuals at all levels
  • Ability to balance needs of clients with associated risks and interests of Wells Fargo
  • 3+ years of experience in business-to-business sales
  • Established network in the local market
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher (desired)
  • Must meet Loan Originator (LO) requirements under Regulation Z and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements, including financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness and criminal background standards
  • A current credit report will be used to assess financial responsibility; ongoing regulatory screening may be required
  • Position responsible for visiting customers and prospects outside of the branch location
