About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Draft and negotiate a wide variety of agreements in collaboration with partners, clients, and colleagues.
  • Advise clients on risk management, conflict resolution, and contract interpretation, compliance, remediation, and enforcement.
  • Provide business-focused, risk-based advice to clients.
  • Support various third-party matters including technology, data services, and risk management.
  • Advise on the impact of policy, legal, and regulatory changes.
  • Identify and analyze complex legal issues and develop recommendations for issue resolution.
  • Manage outside counsel and collaborate with partners to resolve issues.
  • Lead projects, teams, or mentor less experienced staff.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of Law experience, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Active State Bar membership or equivalent outside the United States.
  • Experience with third-party contracting, risk management, and regulatory matters for a financial institution.
  • Ability to research law and regulations and develop advice for complex legal issues using public and company databases.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced complex environment with a high degree of collaboration.
