About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Draft and negotiate a wide variety of agreements in collaboration with partners, clients, and colleagues.
Advise clients on risk management, conflict resolution, and contract interpretation, compliance, remediation, and enforcement.
Provide business-focused, risk-based advice to clients.
Support various third-party matters including technology, data services, and risk management.
Advise on the impact of policy, legal, and regulatory changes.
Identify and analyze complex legal issues and develop recommendations for issue resolution.
Manage outside counsel and collaborate with partners to resolve issues.
Lead projects, teams, or mentor less experienced staff.

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of Law experience, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, education.
Active State Bar membership or equivalent outside the United States.
Experience with third-party contracting, risk management, and regulatory matters for a financial institution.
Ability to research law and regulations and develop advice for complex legal issues using public and company databases.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced complex environment with a high degree of collaboration.
