About the role

  • Act as a subject matter expert to guide, influence, develop, retain, and grow moderate to high complex and strategic client relationships through the art of relationship management
  • Manage and develop two or more teams of managers and professionals in Commercial Banking on the structuring, modification, and renewal of moderate to high complexity and risk cash flow, real estate loans, and certain other industry specific solutions
  • Identify opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development across Commercial Banking Relationship Management
  • Lead relationship management team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues to meet higher risk deliverables
  • Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including senior leadership
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met
  • Strategically lead team in driving relationship planning activities and maintain sales and pipeline disciplines
  • Partner with Commercial Lending Product Management to provide vision, leadership, and expertise on client and market needs
  • Support Business Development Representatives in sourcing new Commercial Banking clients

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management or leadership experience
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of core banking products and services, such as commercial lending and treasury management
  • Completion of formal credit training program
  • Commercial banking account relationship management experience for clients with annual revenue of $25MM to $2B
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively to deliver the organization to clients and prospects
  • Demonstrated experience generating new client relationships, building, and retaining long-term client relationships
  • Experience developing and maintaining external and internal partnerships
  • Experience identifying and mitigating risk, ensuring compliance with processes and procedures
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
