About the role

  • Work as an advisor to more experienced leadership to influence technology matters to develop programs that are effective and efficient for highly complex business and technical needs across one or more lines of business
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in depth evaluation across multiple lines of business or the enterprise
  • Deliver solutions that are long term, large scale, and which require understanding of organizational goals or priorities and technology to develop executable strategies and plans
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to more experienced leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions related to technology matters that are large scale, cross functional, or companywide
  • Engage with the technology team and more experienced leaders to provide support and drive strategic initiatives for the business and for execution of operational processes

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Information Technology in support of Business Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 7+ years of experience working knowledge of cloud technology, cloud financial management, or FinOps
  • Deep hands-on experience with Azure and Google Cloud Platform
  • Strong understanding of: Azure Reservations, Savings Plans, GCP Committed Use Discounts (CUDs) and Cloud pricing models, billing mechanics, and usage metering
  • Proven experience operating in regulated or large enterprise environments (banking, financial services, insurance, or similar)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work directly with large cost and usage datasets
  • Experience building executive-level dashboards and financial narratives
  • Ability to influence without authority across engineering, finance, and leadership teams
  • Strong understanding of Cloud Billing and Invoicing as well as how to optimize costs
  • FinOps Certified Professional (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience supporting multi-cloud environments at scale
  • Familiarity with: Capitalization and accounting considerations for cloud spend and Internal audit and regulatory review processes
  • Experience integrating FinOps data into enterprise BI platforms
  • Background in platform engineering, SRE, or cloud architecture
