About the role

  • Lead aspects of the financial, commercial, and technical analysis and underwriting of highly structured, tax oriented equity investments in renewable energy and other clean technology projects.
  • Review financial, commercial, and technical due diligence; identify risks and collaborate with deal team to structure mitigants.
  • Conduct technical due diligence and portfolio administration as necessary, and provide in depth analysis on relevant industry trends in the renewable energy and other clean technology spaces.
  • Manage the process for internal approval of transactions, including credit analysis, underwriting, legal, accounting, regulatory, and tax matters.
  • Produce various written documents, including origination requests and investment memoranda.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, outside advisors, and internal business partners to create deal opportunities and enhance execution capability.
  • Mentor and advise less experienced team members.
  • Complete work in accordance with all risk management, compliance and business process expectations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in renewable energy investments, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in renewable energy or financial services
  • Financial Modeling experience
  • Financial Analysis experience
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite- Excel, Teams, CoPilot, Powerpoint
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Business or related field
  • Advanced degree a plus
  • Project finance experience
  • Passion for renewable energy as demonstrated either through education or work experience
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and organization, and ability to solve complex or abstract problems
