About the role
- Assist with the annual audit process, including financial statement reviews, and work closely with fund auditors and service providers
- Perform a variety of daily/weekly/monthly centralized activities, such as regulatory filings, client reporting, and management reporting
- Assist with process improvement efforts by helping to identify, develop and implement enhancements
- Respond to internal and external inquiries on a broad array of topics
- Support projects associated with the funds, Wellington’s operational and systems infrastructure and service providers
- Contribute to enhancing internal controls and process documentation
- Develop relationships with Wellington’s centralized teams and external service providers
- Utilize IT skills and knowledge to identify and implement efficiencies where possible
Requirements
- College undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or business
- 5-10 Years of experience from a public accounting firm, asset management firm, and/or fund administrator
- Very strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with other individuals
- A natural curiosity and desire to expand one’s knowledge and role
- Advanced Excel, Access skills, business intelligence/IT skills using Alteryx, SQL, Tableau or a desire to develop them
- A proactive nature in developing and improving processes
- Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, performing multiple tasks and balancing competing priorities
- Ability to work independently and solve problems
- Progress towards a CPA, CFA, CAIA or MBA is a plus
