About the role
- Serve as a dedicated Scrum Master for 2-3 teams, ensuring adherence to Agile values, principles, and practices.
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Drive the team's commitment to achieving sprint goals and maintaining a sustainable pace.
- Remove obstacles, address conflicts, and manage impediments to allow the team to focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Maintain and track key metrics such as team velocity and sprint burn-downs.
- Mentor team members on Agile best practices and continuously refine processes for maximum efficiency.
- Foster a culture of trust and open communication among the development team, QA, architects, and other technical contributors.
- Engage closely with project managers, product owners, and technical leads to ensure alignment on project objectives and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to address project dependencies and resolve conflicts.
- Manage Agile projects with technical proficiency, focusing on software development lifecycles and modern Agile frameworks.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedules, resources, and risk management.
- Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Guide teams in the proper use of Agile tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Coach and support team members to promote engagement, foster innovation, and improve overall productivity.
- Lead by example, maintaining a hands-on approach and staying closely connected to the day-to-day operations of the team.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of direct Scrum Master experience, working specifically with development teams in a technical environment.
- Experience working in SaaS, FinTech, or startup environments preferred.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is required.
- PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification is a strong plus.
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and other Agile project management tools.
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects in a remote environment.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong influencing skills to guide development teams in achieving sprint goals.
