About the role

  • Wellfit: healthcare fintech providing financial solutions for the dental industry, removing financial barriers to treatment and care.
  • Role: HR Manager owning HR operations, driving employee relations, and providing guidance to managers and employees for ~120-employee company.
  • Employee Relations & Manager Support: primary contact for employee relations, conduct investigations, facilitate PIPs, coach managers, escalate sensitive cases to Director.
  • Core HR Operations: HRIS data management, background checks, onboarding/offboarding, leave administration, benefits management, HR policy and handbook drafting, HR reporting and metrics.
  • Performance & Compliance: execute performance processes, ensure federal and state employment law compliance, conduct audits and recommend HR process improvements.
  • Collaboration & Culture: partner on engagement and culture initiatives, advise leadership on trends and risks, support compensation documentation and headcount planning, maintain job descriptions and org charts.

Requirements

  • 6 - 10 years of progressive HR experience with emphasis on employee relations, compliance, and HR operations.
  • Experience in high-growth, small-to-mid-sized organizations (ideally scaling from ~100 - 500 employees).
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, performance management, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
  • Ability to conduct investigations and facilitate performance improvement plans (PIPs).
  • Experience coaching managers on documentation, feedback, and sensitive employee matters.
  • Approachable, direct, and confident communicator able to build rapport across all levels.
  • Hands-on, eager to grow, comfortable working with limited resources, and driven to build HR processes from the ground up.
