About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and develop mobile and web products as part of the Product Design team
Lead design strategy and visual direction for Welldoc’s mobile and web products
Create original, creative designs grounded in consistent patterns and contribute to a scalable, enterprise-grade design system
Advocate for users and communicate complex design decisions to internal leadership and external stakeholders
Align user-centric solutions with business goals and technical feasibility
Manage and prioritize multiple high-impact design initiatives and meet critical milestones
Review development deliverables as the final gatekeeper for design quality
Provide expert feedback on usability, aesthetics, and accessibility compliance
Synthesize product requirements into detailed design specifications, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes
Lead design artifacts including user flows and decision logs throughout the product lifecycle
Validate new feature sets and ensure design iterations meet standards for regulatory filings
Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Scrum teams, Developers, Writers, Consultants, and Human Factors partners
Iterate on complex UX flows and solve sophisticated product challenges
Provide and receive constructive criticism and contribute to Product Design team growth

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in native mobile and web design
Track record of high-impact product launches
Mastery of interaction design principles, typography, and complex layout systems
Expert proficiency in Figma, Sketch, and Adobe CC
Experience exploring AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code, Lovable, and Figma AI
Advanced command of typography, color theory, and layout
Ability to drive results and communicate clearly within remote teams and with virtual stakeholders
Ability to influence stakeholders and justify complex design decisions using UX principles, user research, and product intuition
Self-starter with intellectual curiosity and ability to learn new concepts
Deep familiarity with WCAG 2.2 and modern accessibility guidelines
Robust portfolio showcasing sophisticated UX processes and end-to-end work samples
Appreciation of current and emerging UX trends and their benefits and limitations
Excellent attention to detail and high-quality standards while delivering at pace
Prior experience working in a B2B environment with direct customer interactions preferred
Prior experience working in ISO 13485 and MDSAP regulated and HITRUST and SOC 2 Type II compliant environments, or willingness to be trained
BA/BS degree in Design, such as Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, or Information Systems Design
Master's degree in a related field plus additional experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree
May be required to complete and clear a multi-panel drug screening process upon a conditional offer
