About the role
- Build and evolve key features of the WeightWatchers mobile app (food tracking, activity logging, weight trends, progress milestones, and more)
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data, and Behavioral Science teams to deliver features that support daily habit formation and improved health outcomes
- Own the implementation of upcoming flagship initiatives
- Operate with high autonomy and influence: question assumptions, bring new ideas, and champion product quality, performance, and member-centric design
- Lead and contribute within the Mobile Product Engineering team to create meaningful in-app experiences for members
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Android app development
- Deep experience in Android development (Kotlin)
- Solid grasp of Jetpack Compose, MVVM/Clean Architecture, and modular app structure
- Deep knowledge of the mobile development lifecycle and architecture best practices
- Familiarity with product instrumentation, feature toggling, and progressive rollout systems
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and ability to clearly articulate trade-offs and decisions
- Passion for mobile product engineering, usability, and long-term engagement
- Independent and critical thinker with strong sense of ownership
- Bonus: Experience working in health, wellness, or behavior-change-driven apps
