About the role

  • Design, create, and support the Azure relationship used in our hosting services operation
  • Improve stability and performance of systems and maintain security posture
  • Continuous monitoring of system health and troubleshooting issues
  • Act as lead engineer for migrating or onboarding new clients into Azure services
  • Accurately record customer information and troubleshooting steps/results in the case management system
  • Manage personal queue of open cases and follow up to ensure timely incident resolution and customer satisfaction
  • Proactively identify and resolve recurring incident types; participate in process improvement and knowledge documentation
  • Deliver bill of materials and statements of work for client projects and Azure design builds
  • Work with management on key decisions for cloud infrastructure rollout
  • Gather requirements, design, deploy solutions, and execute builds and migrations to Azure
  • Work with 3rd party applications for migration into Azure models
  • Create and manage automation scripts for tasks and environment scaling
  • Assist with regulatory audit remediation (PCI, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Respond to support queues promptly and document incidents accurately
  • Monitor and enforce system security guidelines for clients involving Azure resources
  • Provide exceptional customer service and educate clients on system operations
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of relevant Azure services and support policies
  • Assist to develop internal documentation and procedures related to specific customer environments
  • Participate as an escalation point for the on-call team roughly every 6 weeks
  • Travel as dictated by customer engagements
  • Typical schedule Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm Eastern with occasional outside-hours flexibility

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge Microsoft Cloud Services, including, but not limited to, Azure IaaS/PaaS, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Networking and Storage
  • Ability to configure and work with Azure auto-scaling
  • Strong working knowledge Microsoft 365, including, but not limited to Teams, Enterprises Mobility and Security Suite, and Azure Entra ID
  • Basic automation experiences with PowerShell
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Core technologies (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and major network protocols)
  • Strong working knowledge of Azure Security Solutions
  • Strong Azure Disaster Recover-as-a-Service (DRaaS) concepts
  • Strong working knowledge of general networking concepts
  • Extensive experience in migrating clients and services into the Microsoft Cloud
  • Experienced with Windows Server Operating Work Systems
  • Ability to deliver well-crafted bill of materials and statements of work
  • Understanding of Azure networking concepts and integration to LAN/WAN technologies, including express route and site to site VPNs
  • Expertise with Azure storage management techniques and optimization
  • Ability to create and manage scripts for automation and scaling
  • Assist in regulatory audit (PCI, HIPAA, etc.) remediation and design
  • Excellent troubleshooting capabilities; strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to details
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role required
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline with an IT focus is preferred
