About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversight of shipping products to customers and internal transfers
  • Plan, schedule, execute shipping activities
  • Ensure timely, accurate and compliant delivery of products
  • Processes small part & LTL shipments
  • Understand the logistics process and procedure
  • Monitors age and status of open freight shipments
  • Files and processes paperwork
  • Schedules trucks through systems such as SAP and TMS
  • Keeps accurate records on outgoing shipments
  • Works closely with other departments
  • Prepares shipments including taking pictures, writing Bills of Lading and other required documentation
  • Assists shipping carriers in tracking and shipment information

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years shipping experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organization and administrative skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts
  • Detail oriented and the ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of warehouse operation systems such as SAP or similar
  • Knowledge of LTL and dedicated services
