About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversight of shipping products to customers and internal transfers
Plan, schedule, execute shipping activities
Ensure timely, accurate and compliant delivery of products
Processes small part & LTL shipments
Understand the logistics process and procedure
Monitors age and status of open freight shipments
Files and processes paperwork
Schedules trucks through systems such as SAP and TMS
Keeps accurate records on outgoing shipments
Works closely with other departments
Prepares shipments including taking pictures, writing Bills of Lading and other required documentation
Assists shipping carriers in tracking and shipment information

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma or GED
1-3 years shipping experience in a warehouse environment.
Strong communication skills
Excellent organization and administrative skills
Customer service skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong computer skills
Ability to operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts
Detail oriented and the ability to multitask
Knowledge of warehouse operation systems such as SAP or similar
Knowledge of LTL and dedicated services
