About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support month-end reporting activities, including trade accrual reviews, aged debt analysis, balance sheet reviews and financial reconciliations
- Work with the Accounts Receivable team to resolve trade investment queries and overdue debt
- Prepare and post month-end journals
- Contribute to monthly forecasting and the annual budget process
- Identify performance trends, risks and opportunities to develop robust forecasts
- Produce financial reporting and translate complex data into actionable stakeholder insights
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and modelling for business planning and decision-making
- Maintain financial controls across trade investment, claims and customer financial processes
- Support internal and external audits with reconciliations, documentation and process evidence
- Champion financial governance and process excellence across the Commercial Finance team
- Work across FP&A, Revenue Management, Sales, IT and Commercial Finance to support business decisions and commercial performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyse and manage large datasets
- Experience in month-end accounting, journal posting and balance sheet reconciliations
- Ability to identify opportunities to automate reporting and streamline processes
- Understanding of trade investment, accruals, claims and customer financial processes
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly
- Ability to build effective cross-functional relationships
- Ability to provide constructive challenge and influence business outcomes
- Collaborative, commercially aware and adaptable approach
- Candidates must not require sponsorship to work in the United Kingdom
