About the role

  • Lead end-to-end sales cycles for government technology projects: opportunity mapping, tender participation, RFP submissions, demos, negotiations, and closures
  • Build and sustain relationships with commissioners, smart city CEOs, municipal administrators, and state-level decision-makers
  • Manage tender & RFP processes and ensure compliance with government procurement (GeM, CPPP, state e-portals)
  • Deliver product presentations, proof-of-concept pilots, and policy-level discussions to establish credibility
  • Collaborate with product, delivery, and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution post-deal closure
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, dashboards, and CRM hygiene
  • Represent the organization at Smart City SPVs, urban innovation forums, and digital governance events
  • Close high-value system projects (₹1.5–2 Cr each) and secure annual recurring revenue through maintenance contracts

Requirements

  • 8–15 years in B2G / PSU / ULB sales
  • At least 3+ years in technology-driven solutions (IT, IoT, SaaS, or system integration)
  • Demonstrated success in closing at least 2 large government tech projects in the last 24 months
  • Deep understanding of government procurement cycles, RFPs, and e-tendering systems
  • Familiarity with Smart City, urban governance, or municipal technology domains
  • Strong stakeholder connects across municipal and state-level decision-makers (Western India network preferred)
  • Experience with tender-driven sales cycles and compliance (GeM, CPPP, state e-portals)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English and Hindi
  • High mobility – willing to travel extensively across India
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to navigate ambiguity in public sector projects
  • Preferred: exposure to Smart City SPVs, GIS systems, grievance management, solid waste, or tax platforms
  • Preferred: understanding of RFID, IoT, GPS-based tracking, and analytics dashboards
