About the role

  • Collaborate with global engineering and operations teams to develop robust backend systems that automate workflows for personal injury law firms
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems powering AI-driven applications
  • Develop and optimize Python-based services for processing complex legal and medical documents
  • Collaborate with founders, product teams, and engineers to translate user needs into technical solutions
  • Integrate third-party services and build internal APIs for workflows, data pipelines, and AI models
  • Use data insights and user feedback to improve system performance and product features
  • Contribute to system architecture, code reviews, and engineering best practices in a fast-paced startup environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution or equivalent experience in leading tech companies or startups
  • 3+ years of experience as a Python backend or full-stack engineer in high-growth environments
  • Strong experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django, with a focus on performance and scalability
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows
  • Familiarity with high-throughput APIs, document processing systems, and cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across distributed teams
  • Experience with deploying and integrating foundation models in production environments (Good to Have)
  • Exposure to frontend technologies such as React, Next.js, or full-stack development using TypeScript and Node.js (Good to Have)
