About the role
- Provide technical support for CSO Major Projects.
- Activities include gathering, maintaining, updating, analyzing, summarizing, and reporting various analytical data and providing support for use in such areas as operations, finance, strategic planning, and customer service.
- Perform financial updates and prepare responses to information requests for ad hoc corporate initiatives.
- Monitor and track spending versus estimates/budgets, investigate discrepancies, recommend solutions, and resolve differences.
- Participate in the development and application of economic and statistical models for forecasting.
- Identify problems and find resolution during development process.
- Verify and document data to ensure quality and reproducibility of results.
- Research, integrate, and maintain extensive time series of unique historical statistics essential to forecasting efforts.
- Construct sophisticated Windows-based applications to support corporate performance initiatives.
- Design analytical based applications for reporting various information, related to financial and corporate performance.
- Create reports and graphs for internal and external customers.
- Perform analysis including standard tests such as ratios, averages, and tests of statistical significance.
- Design multi-media presentations to promote corporate initiatives and communicate results.
- Process development, documentation and coordination.
- Develop and supply custom applications for ongoing use by customer.
- Function as departmental “Center of Excellence” as a technical resource for the team and other areas outside the team.
- Provide training for other occupations in the area of expertise.
- Identify data sources external to the department.
- Function as Team Memory – Ready Reference.
- Answer computer (PC, software) questions.
- Intranet web site development.
- Participate in and promote various corporate initiatives to improve the corporate culture.
- Data entry with Geographic Information System.
Requirements
- Applicant must have at least two years of post-secondary credit hours including four courses in accounting, business administration, marketing, or computer science.
- This position may require unescorted access to certain critical cyber assets which would require applicants to satisfy all company and NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection Standard 004 security requirements, which includes a background investigation.
- Official transcripts are required and should be submitted at the time of your application to the assigned HR Associate; must be attached to application or provided to HR within ten (10) days of the posting closing date.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to provide effective formal management presentations of strategic and operational business issues.
- Strong analytical and computer skills with the ability to identify creative solutions to complex and abstract issues.
- Candidates with project management experience, or process improvement experience are preferred.
- Analyst - Level 1(ANL1): An aptitude test including numerical reasoning and classification of documents according to pre-established rules.
