About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides leadership and direction to Business Membership Advisors, conducting orientation and training as required.
  • Prioritizes and balances workloads and conducts regular coaching sessions.
  • Builds and promotes a team environment, reinforces positive behavior, corrects performance, and initiates disciplinary action, as required.
  • Works to resolve complex or escalated member issues.
  • Oversees the opening of all new and unassigned business membership requests at TCB.
  • Helps create a consistent member experience for all business members, which includes working closely with the branches and the Member Advice Centre.
  • Ensures the team achieves or exceeds sales goals by providing sales coaching to team members.
  • Has a high level of knowledge in Business Banking from a technical standpoint.
  • Provides strong leadership to ensure that every membership is opened by the team is in accordance with applicable procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensures the team is building strong relationships with each branch.
  • Attends quarterly all-division leadership calls to provide updates on the Business Membership Advisors and compliance matters related to business banking accounts.
  • Works with stakeholders to improve business membership procedures and guidelines to ultimately improve the business member experience.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Diploma in Business or related discipline required
  • 3-4 years experience in retail, business, or commercial lending and sales experience required
  • Strong understanding of business structures and proven record of providing business banking advice
  • Strong communicator with a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong organization and time management skills with the flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing environment
  • Proven skills in business development, sales, and relationship building
  • Ability to quickly establish and sustain credibility with prospective business members, as well as Senior Leadership at TCB
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
