ESG & Social Impact Manager
Webster First Federal Credit UnionESG & Social Impact Manager responsible for integrating and executing First West’s ESG commitments. Collaborating cross-functionally to embed responsible banking practices and manage impact initiatives.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Shape, integrate, and execute First West’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and social impact agenda
- Translate strategic ESG commitments into practical actions, tools, and processes
- Lead or support the implementation of ESG initiatives across all areas of the business
- Design, manage, and support social impact initiatives including financial inclusion, community impact, and social enterprise programs
- Develop and maintain ESG data analytics and impact measurement systems
- Prepare ESG disclosures and reporting aligned with frameworks and relevant banking regulations
- Work cross-functionally with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, HR, and Business teams
- Continuously improve ESG metrics, tools, and reporting processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, finance, economics, business, public policy, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in community investment, nonprofit, or corporate social responsibility roles
- 4–7 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, social impact, or responsible banking (financial services strongly preferred).
- Solid understanding of ESG frameworks, reporting standards, and regulatory expectations in banking.
- Experience working with ESG data, metrics, and reporting processes.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong ethical judgment and commitment to responsible banking.
- Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
