About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides strategic HR expertise to an assigned client group
  • Provides advice and expertise on workforce planning, employee experience, culture, team effectiveness and change leadership
  • Influences decisions that balance the needs of the business with employee experience goals and practices
  • Contributes to planning and executing the workforce/people strategy
  • Builds effective relationships by partnering with leadership teams to understand strategic business and people issues
  • Provides HR expertise, professional advice, coaching and mentoring to members of the HR team
  • Proactively monitors trends and best practices to facilitate change in the organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline required
  • CHRP designation is preferred; certified coach designation considered an asset
  • Minimum 6 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in organizational development required; experience in the financial services industry is an asset
  • Demonstrated experience providing coaching and advisory support to senior leadership
  • Strong project management experience
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience applying change management methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to diplomatically resolve complex issues and conflict, using sound judgement and decision-making
  • Proven ability to build strong and credible relationships with ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of people.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, coach and/or influence others and challenge the status quo
  • Strong business acumen
  • Proficient with Microsoft and HR software programs
  • Knowledge of compensation
  • Strong analytic capability
  • Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
