About the role
- Evaluate complex, privately placed public sector financing requests
- Perform due diligence and gather information for lending decisions
- Spreading and analyzing credit profiles and financial statements
- Prepare risk rating calculations and underwriting documents
- Conduct continual portfolio monitoring and payment delinquency mitigation
Requirements
- 4-7 years of direct public sector underwriting experience
- Advanced degrees (Bachelor’s or Master’s) preferred
- Strong knowledge of underwriting concepts, practices, and procedures
- Proficiency in financial statements (Fund Accounting, Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow Statement)
- Significant municipal risk rating expertise
- Proficiency in legal terminology and documentation
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Technical aptitude with Word, Excel, Outlook and other IT systems
