- Lead and manage the remote team, ensuring everyone stays accountable to their KPIs.
- Oversee projects from planning through execution.
- Own and improve operational workflows and SOPs.
- Clearly communicate priorities, expectations, and organizational updates.
- Manage up effectively with visionary executives.
- Monitor KPIs and team performance.
Requirements
What you’ll need- People Management
- Lead and manage the remote team, ensuring everyone stays accountable to their KPIs.
- Conduct daily Scrum/stand-up meetings to identify accomplishments, priorities, and blockers.
- Coach, motivate, and support team members while fostering autonomy.
- Onboard new hires and ensure a smooth transition into existing workflows.
- Address performance issues proactively and recommend hiring, replacement, or termination when necessary.
- Manage up confidently and hold both team members and leadership accountable.
- Project Management
- Oversee projects from planning through execution.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and ensure deadlines are met.
- Remove blockers preventing projects from moving forward.
- Ensure projects align with organizational priorities and KPIs.
- Task Management
- Prioritize work using frameworks such as the Eisenhower Matrix.
- Assign and monitor tasks across the team.
- Track deliverables and follow up to ensure commitments are completed.
- Keep team members focused on high-impact work.
- Process Management
- Own and improve operational workflows and SOPs.
- Ensure processes are consistently followed across the organization.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
- Build scalable systems as the organization grows.
- Knowledge Management
- Maintain and expand the organization's SOP library and documentation.
- Keep training materials and internal knowledge base updated.
- Improve onboarding documentation and operational playbooks.
- Encourage continuous documentation as workflows evolve.
- Communication
- Serve as the operational bridge between leadership and the team.
- Clearly communicate priorities, expectations, and organizational updates.
- Facilitate collaboration across departments.
- Escalate issues early while presenting recommended solutions.
- Strategy & Executive Support
- Manage up effectively with visionary, Type A executives.
- Help leadership prioritize initiatives using structured decision-making.
- Balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Proactively identify operational gaps and recommend solutions.
- Participate in hiring decisions and workforce planning.
- Support leadership in building and scaling the operations team.
- Reporting & Visualization
- Monitor KPIs and team performance.
- Prepare executive scorecards and operational reports.
- Leverage AI tools to consolidate data, generate reports, and create dashboards.
- Present actionable insights that support leadership decision-making.
- Track team progress against weekly and monthly KPIs.
- Good to have:
- Strong experience managing up and confidently working with visionary, Type A executives.
- Highly process-driven with exceptional follow-through and execution.
- Comfortable leading remote teams, holding people accountable to KPIs, and making difficult people decisions (including performance management and termination recommendations).
- Excellent communication skills with experience working closely with U.S.-based leadership.
- Experience working with Scrum/Agile methodologies and leading daily stand-ups.
- Experience building and improving SOPs, documentation, and operational systems.
