About the role

  • Partner with software teams to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Build and maintain continuous integration and deployment systems for robotics development
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability and reliability for robotics workloads
  • Lead release engineering efforts, coordinating software deployments across development, testing, and production environments
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline the software development lifecycle and reduce time-to-market
  • Implement automated testing, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure system reliability
  • Participate in on-call rotations during Pacific Daylight Time to maintain 24/7 system availability
  • Support release testing and QA processes to ensure high-quality software delivery
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand infrastructure needs and implement scalable solutions

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or related roles
  • Strong expertise with CI/CD systems, particularly GitLab
  • Solid experience with modern cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.)
  • Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Preferred: Release Engineering experience in high-tech or robotics environments
  • Preferred: Experience with Gitlab, CircleCI or other CI/CD platforms beyond GitLab
  • Preferred: Release testing and QA automation experience
  • Preferred: Knowledge of robotics or AI development workflows
  • Preferred: Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • Preferred: Understanding of network security and best practices
