About the role
- Responsible for Mobile Core network support, functionality and development
- Work in a small team under Webbing Network Engineering Department
- Perform proactive monitoring of network elements’ KPI/alarms and network performance analysis
- Perform service/system testing, data collection, and optimization as required
- Handle and analyze trouble tickets and provide solutions when necessary
- Create and maintain network system documentation
- Operational task and requests handling
- Participate in knowledge transfer to NOC engineers
- Provide on-call 24 x 7 support on a rotating basis
Requirements
- Complete familiarity with MNO/MVNO structure and flows, for Voice, SMS and Data scenarios
- Experience in analyzing network flows using raw data (traces/PCAP/etc.)
- Deep understanding of various protocols: MAP, Diameter, GTP, SIP, RTP, SMPP
- Deep understanding of 3G, 4G and VoLTE networks
- Ability to design, scale and integrate a network element into a live network
- Hands-on experience in integration between network elements (SCTP, SIP trunk, SMPP connection)
- Roaming and SPR solutions understanding
- Understanding of 3GPP standards and GSMA guidelines and ability to analyze based on them
- At least 5 years of practical experience as a core engineer
- Willingness to occasional travel
- Knowledge of IP switching and routing protocol - an advantage
- Knowledge of Linux system administration and cloud technologies (AWS, VMware) - an advantage
- Familiarity with scripting specifications and profiling automated tools - an advantage
- Self-motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment
