About the role
- Develop and implement a comprehensive physical security strategy across all sites.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and prioritize mitigation plans based on threat levels.
- Participate in merger and acquisition security diligence to evaluate risks and integration requirements.
- Ensure alignment of security initiatives with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- Create and maintain standardized security policies, procedures, and protocols (e.g., visitor access, emergency response).
- Communicate and enforce security standards across all locations.
- Monitor compliance and update policies as needed based on evolving risks and regulations.
- Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and systems integrators.
- Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of access control and surveillance systems.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance physical security.
- Develop and deliver employee security training and awareness programs.
- Lead investigations into security incidents, coordinating with the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and law enforcement as necessary.
- Implement corrective actions and lessons learned from incidents.
- Prepare and manage the physical security budget, identifying cost-efficiency opportunities.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on all physical security matters.
- Provide guidance and support to leadership on security-related decisions and initiatives.
Requirements
- BS in criminal justice, security management, or similar preferred
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or similar credential preferred
- 10+ years in corporate security or law enforcement roles
- Demonstrated experience managing distributed office environments
- Strong vendor management and contract negotiation experience
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to effectively lead and manage diverse internal and external teams and resources
- Strong attention to detail
- Expertise with Microsoft Office and other software as required
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
