About the role
- Lead the global product regulatory compliance capability across multiple countries and product lines
- Lead the development and implementation of global regulatory strategies and best practices
- Develop global regulatory compliance programs
- Conduct global risk assessments and provide recommendations to reduce exposure, ensure regulatory compliance, and mitigate potential business disruptions across all markets and product lines
- Interpret complex, multi-regional and ambiguous regulatory requirements, developing organizational positions in areas of uncertainty, and influencing commercial decision-making to reduce regulatory risk while enabling business growth
- Bridge compliance and commercial strategy, ensuring the company operates responsibly while pursuing innovation
- Coordinate packaging compliance councils (SC, R&D, Sustainability) to review future looking packing regulations and trends and provide recommendations for global harmonization
- Lead provision of reporting templates, regulatory compliance mandatories, issue resolution/escalation procedures and collaboration guidelines
- Lead enterprise-wide regulatory compliance technology and digital transformation including AI implementation, regulatory technology integration, and digital compliance solutions
- Manage global regulatory projects and initiatives
- Oversee the development and implementation of regulatory training programs across the organization
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key regulatory authorities
- Ensure compliance of all laboratory operations
- Manage global regulatory budgets and resources
Requirements
- Master degree in chemistry, biology, environmental sciences, chemical engineering, or related field
- 10-15 years in regulatory compliance field, with some global experience required
- CPG specific experience is preferred
- Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements across Americas, EIMEA, and APAC regions
- Experience developing and harmonizing global compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions
- Ability to interpret ambiguous regulatory requirements and conduct risk assessments
- Knowledge of regulatory technology integration, including AI solutions
- Experience managing global regulatory budgets, cross-functional projects and resources
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills at all levels of an organization
- Regulatory affairs certification with specialized expertise in global regulatory compliance OR law degree with regulatory focus is a plus
- 5-10% travel (domestic and international)
