About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build relationships with fund stakeholders, including administrators, clients, and boards
- Manage daily, weekly, monthly, and annual fund deadlines
- Ensure quarterly and annual reports are compiled and delivered to client fund boards
- Act as an escalation point for fund clients and boards
- Support the AML Officer Services Manager
- Maintain and update team policies and procedures in response to regulatory changes and emerging risks
- Ensure compliance monitoring is completed accurately and on time
- Contribute to the design and delivery of training for client boards
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports for clients to external competent authorities
- Act as MLRO/DMLRO and AMLCO for client funds
- Receive and investigate suspicious activity reports and report them to appropriate authorities when necessary
- Report on anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing matters to fund boards or governing bodies
- Review fund administrators’ and investment managers’ AML/CFT procedures and controls annually
- Perform periodic testing of fund or investment entity compliance with applicable AML regulations
- Attend onboarding meetings and assist new clients with onboarding
- Collaborate across the Waystone group to leverage technology and internal expertise, promote continuous improvement, and meet annual targets
Requirements
What you’ll need- Approximately 3 years’ experience, preferably in financial services or fund administration, with exposure to AML compliance
- Experience preferably in hedge funds
- Consistent attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Good understanding of AML/CFT across multiple jurisdictions, particularly Ireland and the Cayman Islands
- Ability to work effectively with multiple departments while building relationships
- Exceptional presentation capabilities
- Effective communication skills at all levels
- University degree, preferably specialising in law, business, or regulation
- Professional qualification such as ACOI or an AML qualification desirable but not required
