About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the People lead for AI and automation initiatives within assigned business areas
- Partner with business leaders to simplify, standardise, automate and optimise people-related processes and operating models
- Drive adoption of AI-enabled tools and ways of working through change management, capability building and communication
- Advise leaders on organisational design, workforce planning and skills implications of digital transformation
- Conduct HR due diligence for mergers and acquisitions
- Support transaction planning and execution with Corporate Development, Legal, Finance and business stakeholders
- Develop and deliver post-acquisition integration plans covering organisational design, leadership alignment, cultural integration, workforce harmonisation and employee experience
- Identify key talent and implement retention strategies during organisational change
- Advise on employment law, regulatory, benefits, compensation, immigration and employee relations implications across jurisdictions
- Act as a trusted global advisor and senior business partner to senior leadership
- Lead projects and work streams arising from the people strategy, change and transformation activity
- Translate the company people strategy into functional targets and implementation plans
- Evolve functional organisational design in line with Waystone principles
- Support strategies for a high-performance culture
- Lead compensation and annual performance management processes
- Provide people MI and translate data and trends into people priorities
- Coach and guide managers on organisational structural changes
- Facilitate annual talent and succession planning
- Lead employee relations initiatives and issues, including disciplinary, grievance and dismissal matters
- Manage day-to-day HR operations across the employee-employer relationship, recruitment, onboarding, probation reviews, appraisals and termination-related issues
- Develop processes and initiatives to improve HR efficiency
- Assess and anticipate HR-related needs and formulate partnerships across the function
- Support change management plans and communication strategies
- Improve work relationships, morale, productivity and retention
- Support the Global People team on strategic projects including ESOP, People Analytics, Mergers and Acquisitions and Integrations
- Coach and mentor team members and the wider HR community
- Act as a point of escalation for complex or critical issues
- Ensure compliance with country legislation, employment laws, regulatory requirements, audit and risk requirements
- Provide guidance on restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
- Conduct effective, thorough and objective employee relations investigations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
- Recognized professional HR designation, such as CIPD or GPHR
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience
- At least 5 years’ direct experience at Manager or similar level
- Experience as a strategic business partner to senior management in a multi-business organisation
- Proven core HR competencies and knowledge of employment law
- Ability to lead and positively influence colleagues and team members
- Highly adaptable with exceptional communication, influencing and coaching skills
- Delivery-focused and customer-centric
- Experience strategically driving and implementing change
- Understanding of operating in a COE model and leveraging those relationships for large-scale projects
- Broad generalist HR experience across talent, coaching, development, employment law, engagement, performance and compensation
- Integrity and desire to work in a dynamic, mission-driven environment
- Demonstrated leadership and passion for the organisation’s mission
