About the role
- Identify market opportunities and develop relationships with industry contacts
- Increase company revenue through direct sales to customers in Mid-Atlantic territory (MD, DC, DE, VA)
- Complete on-boarding and product/industry training
- Learn and use Wavetronix products to solve traffic detection problems at intersections and on highways
- Attend customer meetings and trade shows; prepare product overviews and demonstrations
- Recommend specific Wavetronix products and applications to customers
- Provide product and technical information, pricing, and delivery details in a timely manner
- Negotiate agreements and respond to customer concerns and warranty claims
- Develop and maintain understanding of competitors, market, and pricing
- Manage and expand customer base; prepare sales budgets and product forecasts for the region
Requirements
- Prior direct technical-sales experience
- Ability to travel the territory ~70-75% per month
- Prior success working with a team
- Some experience in the Traffic industry (preferred)
- Strong technical aptitude
- Ability to prepare product overviews and demonstrations
- Ability to attend trade shows and professional meetings
- Ability to establish and develop customer relationships
- Ability to prepare technical, pricing, and delivery information
- Ability to negotiate agreements within profitability guidelines
