About the role

  • Do you want to advance the expansion, digitalization and resilience of civil transportation infrastructure — rail, road and public transport (ÖPNV)?
  • Then help us design safe, high-performance networks for tomorrow as a (Senior) Consultant Civil Transportation Infrastructure and Mobility (all genders) at the location of your choice (part-time is welcome).
  • You will support operators and public clients in transportation infrastructure (e.g., rail environment, motorways, state and municipal authorities) on expansion, renewal and digitalization programs for rail and road.
  • As a Product Owner / Project Manager you will lead (sub)projects end-to-end — from requirements and stakeholder management through schedule, cost and risk control to go-live and impact measurement — using agile or traditional methods.
  • You will support procurement processes as well as planning and permitting steps.
  • You will establish PMO structures, reporting and quality gates for multi-project setups.
  • You will further develop our consulting offering for civil critical transportation infrastructures (e.g., ETCS / Digital Rail, accessibility, climate adaptation / resilience) and, depending on the project, work on digitalization of communication and radio infrastructures (e.g., mobile networks, railway radio, public safety radio (BOS), Wi‑Fi).

Requirements

  • You have experience in civil transportation infrastructure (rail infrastructure, road construction, public transport), data analytics and BIM — for example in consultancies, operators, authorities, construction or technology companies.
  • You have project DNA with proven successes in projects, (sub-)project control, Product Owner or PMO roles — ideally in network expansion, renewal, electrification or traffic management.
  • Ideally you bring knowledge in mobile and radio technologies (e.g., railway radio, public safety radio (BOS), Wi‑Fi). This is not a must.
  • You are innovation-oriented, interested in AI for mobility, possess strong communication and presentation skills, and are fluent in German and English.
  • A completed university degree rounds off your profile.
  • You are willing to travel within the DACH region and to work hybrid and independently.
