About the role
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of IT security controls across hardware, software, and network systems.
- Support vulnerability assessments, patch management, and endpoint protection efforts.
- Help monitor security logs and alerts to identify potential threats or breaches.
- Participate in the documentation of security procedures, incident response plans, and compliance reports.
- Contribute to global security projects, including identity and access management, data protection, and threat intelligence.
- Ensure IT assets are securely inventoried, tracked, and maintained in accordance with company policies.
- Respond to security-related support requests and assist in resolving user access issues.
Requirements
- Current sophomore or junior pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles, including firewalls, encryption, and network security.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and macOS, and basic command-line usage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen interest in threat detection and mitigation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in documenting technical processes.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to learning.
- Passionate about contributing to a secure and resilient IT environment.
- Demonstrated integrity, respect, and accountability in team interactions.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship now or in the future.
